I'm off to England visiting family for a few weeks soon.....

.....so I won't be able to get much work done on the new site for a while, which means I'm falling further and further behind my own schedule. Oops.

Online games made exclusively for me - part 6

It's been a while since part 5 (2 months in fact), but here is part 6 in my ongoing series about Flash online games that I had made exclusively for my MarioSonicGames.com site.

In addition to the games I mentioned in my previously posts, I also had Sonic the Hedgehog: Sonic Abstracta made for me, which is a simple but addictive collect-and-avoid type game that gets faster and faster the longer you play it, until it eventually gets to be a serious challenge for even the very best gamers out there.

I have also had a few other games made exclusively for me, but rather than go on about them here, you can find them and all my other exclusive games in the MarioSonicGames.com Exclusive Games Page. Enjoy! :-)

Shrek 4 and Toy Story 3 online games

In May the fourth film in DreamWorks Animation's Shrek series, "Shrek Forever After - The Final Chapter", was released in cinemas around the world. This was closely followed in June by rival studio Disney/Pixar's "Toy Story 3", making it a great summer for fans of computer animated films.

Both films have, not surprisingly, been massive hits, and now that "the dust has settled" it is quite clear that Toy Story 3 has come out as the overall winner in terms of both critical praise and box-office receipts.

While we're all eagerly waiting for the DVDs/Blu-Rays of the two films to be released, here is an awesome collection of free Flash online games based on both series of films, to keep the fun rolling along:

Online games made exclusively for me - part 5

Continuing from part 4 two days ago, one other Flash online game I had made exclusively for my MarioSonicGames.com site was Sonic the Hedgehog: Super Sonic Pinball, which is a classic game of pinball with a super twist - Sonic the Hedgehog is the ball! It features bumpers, spinners, targets, extra balls and bonus tables, together with personal and global high score records.

Online games made exclusively for me - part 4

Continuing from my part 3 post yesterday, two other online games I had made exclusively for my MarioSonicGames.com site were Sonic the Hedgehog: Sonic Matchit and Super Mario Brothers: Mario Matchit.

They are both Flash versions of the classic "match the pairs of hidden pictures" memory game, featuring authentic graphics, music and sounds from their respective franchises, as well as personal and global high score records.

(You can also play them at Newgrounds here and here.)

Online games made exclusively for me - part 3

Continuing on from part 2 yesterday, another online game I had made exclusively for my MarioSonicGames.com site was Sonic the Hedgehog: Sky Chase.

This is a Flash version of the Sky Chase Zone from the classic 1992 Sega Mega Drive/Genesis game "Sonic the Hedgehog 2", where your mission is to fly Tails' Tornado airplane and help Sonic to kill flying badniks, and then finally take on Dr. Robotnik in an aerial battle.

Online games made exclusively for me - part 2

Continuing from part 1 yesterday, another Flash online game I had made exclusively for my MarioSonicGames.com site was Sonic the Hedgehog: Amy's Whack-A-Nik.

This is a multi-level Sonic the Hedgehog version of the classic "Whack-A-Mole" game that has always been great for a few minutes of mindless smashing and bashing fun!

Online games made exclusively for me - part 1

In addition to the still-being-developed FlashyOnlineGames.com site, I also own MarioSonicGames.com, which is a long-standing and very popular site dedicated to Super Mario Bros. and Sonic the Hedgehog (plus other Nintendo and Sega) online games.

I have had a number of games made exclusively for that site, the first one of which was Super Mario Brothers: Paper Mario World, which was made in conjunction with Newgrounds.

It is a Flash version of the classic "Paper Mario" and "Super Paper Mario" RPG/platforming hybrid games, also incorporating some elements of "Super Mario World". In the game you can use Mario's hammer to crush enemies, or jump on them to kill them in the traditional way. There are 30 very challenging mini-levels to complete, with bonuses to unlock and hidden secrets to find.

(You can also play it at Newgrounds.)

FlashyOnlineGames.com progress report #1

I am developing a brand new online games site over the course of the next few months, with an emphasis on featuring only the truly best online games in it - "flashy" Flash games, so to speak, hence the site name being "FlashyOnlineGames.com".

The majority of the games I will put in the site will be based on recognised characters, films, cartoons and video games because I personally like those types of games the most, and it's best to like what you are working with - I find it makes for a more productive working life.

I've only just started organising everything for the site, and I don't have much spare time at present meaning progress will be slow at first. I'll post another update in this blog as and when I next have something significant to report.
